19th Century French Louis XIV Carved Walnut Stool with Silk Fabric

About the Item

Decorate a den, living room or master bedroom with this elegant antique stool. Crafted in southern France circa 1870 and almost square in shape, the elegant ottoman stands on turned legs ending with bun feet over a X serpentine stretcher decorated with a central carved finial. The seating is upholstered with a colorful striped silk fabric in the soft green, gold and white palette. The Louis XIV style stool is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich walnut patina. Versatile, the stool could be placed in any room for additional seating! 20"W x 19"D x 18"H
