19th Century Honey Oak Courthouse Stool
About the Item
Antique honey oak plank bottom Courthouse stool, circa 1890.
This beautiful, handcrafted stool features arrowback slat construction and a comfortable plank bottom seat. The oak is a rich, deep honey with a great, time-worn patina. Handwritten aged tag on bottom reads, "Relic of the Old Courthouse." Most likely a witness seat or that of the shorthand reporter seated next to the judge. The seat height allows it to work with either bar or counter level.
This unique stool is very sturdy with lots of character and will bring rustic warmth to any space. You will love this stool!
