About the Item

A custom, elegant solid wood stool available in a variety of woods and finishes with solid wood frame, pivoting back, and upholstered seat by Thomas Hayes Studio. The angle of the back creates good lumbar support. The frames are accented with solid patinated brass plugs, and the stools are sturdy, comfortable and versatile. Available for custom order and the lead time is 6-8 weeks; sometimes we are able to complete projects faster, so please contact us to inquire. This particular set of 4 is in Solid Walnut with Bleached & Blanched Oil with Brushed Brass Plugs and foot rests. CUSHION OPTIONS: Prices are COM/COL (customer's own material/leather). You may source your own material or leather, or we have some in stock. WOOD OPTIONS: Solid Walnut, Oak, Mahogany (all $1750 COM/COL each) Rosewood ($2400 COM/COL per stool) FINISH OPTIONS: A variety of Satin Lacquer and Oil finishes are available; please inquire for all wood/finish options. NOTE: The oil finishes are flat, water proof and penetrate deeply, bonding with the upper fibers of the wood to create a silky surface that feels “finished” but looks like raw wood. PLUG OPTIONS: Solid brass plugs are available in light patina, dark patina, polished, or brushed, starting at the top and going clockwise. Please refer to the last image to see these options. DESIGN OPTIONS: Standard counter height is 26" and standard bar height is 31". Custom sizes available at an additional cost. Standard seat depth for this stool is 16.5”. Custom sizes available at an additional cost. This design is also available as dining chairs. CONDITION: For any custom pieces with solid wood or wood veneer, we deliberately choose to use beautifully figural wood that may have some irregularities. You can expect much variation in grain and some knots, slight cracks, and small filled knot holes that are naturally occurring in the completed pieces. It is part of our aesthetic and process when making hand crafted pieces to not attempt to hide these natural irregularities that we believe make a piece more beautiful and unique.
