A sophisticated blind-fret carved mahogany stool in the Chinese Chippendale style. 19th century. In excellent condition throughout, of good colour and sturdy in the joints. L: 55 cm w: 44 cm h: 46 cm. Nb. Blind-fret carving is encountered in many of Chippendale's ''Chinese period'' designs of the mid- to last-quarter of the 18th century.
