Chinese Qing Dynasty, Kuang Hsu period lacquered hand painted square waisted stool with carved double scroll skirt. This handsome stool is painted on all visible services with scrolling leaves and flowers primarily in muted greens. The center focus of the top is a faded red flower with radiating leaves and vines emanating from it. The background color is a muted ochre-or light brown color (see photos). This stool can also serve as a side table. Late 19th to early 20th century.
