About the Item
It is unusual to see an early 20th-century Chinese round stool designed to be adjustable. The artisan who created this inventive stool hand-carved the cylindrical center post for easy adjustment. Although this stool can no longer swivel, it remains a delightful example of the ingenuity of mortise and tenon joinery.
