About the Item

Period Edwardian oak joint stool from England. The top is made from a single plank and has nice graining detail. This follows down to a hand carved apron. The apron is carved on all four sides for easy placement in any room. The stool is supported on hand turned open barely twist legs, which are splayed, and joined by simple stretchers. This is a very unusual form, having the open barley twist legs.
