About the Item

Such a beautiful rare and original gustavian stool, made in giltwood with horsehair upholstered seat. Made in by a Swedish cabinetmaker in the late 18th century. A great vintage object with a fine patina that complements the modern interior. "Gustavian is a Swedish twist on French Neoclassicism. It has the same proportions as the French styles, but muted color palettes and different carved woods – birch, beech and pine, all native to the area."
