Handmade Antique Pair of Arts and Crafts Style Oak Stools by Gaskell & Chambers

Rare and marked pair of antique stools. Great for an Arts and Crafts or Mission Style (inspired) interior.
Finding this rare pair of Arts and Crafts stools from the UK was a treat and to have found them in this very good condition made this find even more rewarding. When you are looking for good and rare pieces in the Arts and Crafts Style then you will know how difficult it is to find beautiful and good condition pairs. This rare design on four perfect legs and with circular seats is an absolute joy to look at. Especially with the marvelous patina underneath the laquered surfaces these stools will look great, no matter where you decide to place and use them. They are as strong and stable as the day they were handcrafted and that is also because of the thickness of these solid oak 'chairs'. They can easily take an adult of up to 200 pounds lbs each. The only imperfections is the white paint on each 'corner' of the circular seats (as shown in our images). Both these rare antique stools come with the original Gaskell & Chambers maker's plaque underneath the seats and these striking 'labels' very clearly read who made them and where they are from (see images 10 and 12). Stools of these true British professionals are very hard to find and that too adds to the collectability and value of this rare and timeless pair.
