New York Heartwoods' cerused oak solid wood counter height Jordan stool is influenced by Shaker and Mid-Century design; created to be comfortable, lightweight and easy to move; and features three turned legs, a unique hand-carved faceted seat, and wedged tenons.
Each is made in our fully women-owned and operated Hudson Valley studio with local sustainable wood selected for its unique beauty and character, and finished with no-VOC oil and wax.

New York Heartwoods
New York Heartwoods (NYH) is a woman-owned and operated fabricator of fine solid wood furniture, using sustainable wood milled from fallen and urban Hudson Valley trees. Founded in 2011 out of our love of forests and our desire to create both beautiful timeless designs and environmental and economic solutions for our community, we impeccably craft unique heirloom-quality furniture and work closely with our clients to create custom pieces for residential and commercial interiors. NYH began as a lumber and slab producer and retailer, sourcing logs from local landowners and tree services. Requests for furniture and retail displays made with that wood soon followed. In Fall 2017, after several years of doing custom fabrication, NYH launched its first collection, some of which is showcased on this platform. With our background in wood production we additionally work with our clients to create finished products from their own trees. Overseeing the milling and drying allows us to produce the materials needed to fabricate pieces to desired specifications, and create furniture that has immeasurable value.
