Rare pair of A1 lounge chairs by Jean-Claude Duboys, Attitude edition, France, 1980. Amazing comfort, these seats are made of solid maple blades, they fold and are part of a set of furniture created in the years 80 by Jean-Claude Duboys, Designer Interior Designer, (1938-1999). Superb pair of FS 123 armchairs from the French brand Free-Span published in 1954. The structure in blond beech has a curved design, the speckled fabric of white and gray is padded with kapok. The exceptional comfort of these seats is provided by springs combined with metal plates arranged in stars, signature of the Free-Span brand and adopted by designers such as Pierre Guariche, Marcel Gascoin or Jacques Adnet. Movable seat forming a back leg. Work realized in the 1980s. Marcel Ramond “Africa Design” signature on the back top. Marcel Ramond (1935) is a French architect and designer who began to graduate as a technical ingeneer and then continued his studies at the Beaux-Arts school of Saint-Etienne to become an architect in 1967. During his studies he worked with Le Corbusier on the maison Raiduese of Firminy conception and also on the furniture project that not been realized. In 1968 he created with the artist Jean-Marc Bonnard the FormDesign agency dedicated to design in a large sense : graphism, scenography, etc. They worked on different layout projects such as a hair salon, a bar, a mini golf...
