About the Item

Sculptural Stool 3D-Printed with High-Strength Recycled Plastic and shaped by hand. Two-tone gradient finish. Winner of the Elle Decor Design Award Brazil 2024 in the "Small Seating" category. Each piece is unique and individually numbered. The Massage stool explores the tension between human and machine. It is built using a robotic arm that 3D prints the piece layer by layer, creating a robust structure capable of supporting up to 128 kg (282 lbs). During printing, pigment is manually added to the plastic material, creating the unique gradient effect on each piece. After the 3D printing process, the stool is heated until it reaches its softening point, allowing it to be manually shaped. During this phase, a collaborative "sculpting massage" is performed, shaping the organic curves and volumes that characterize the series. After the manual shaping process, the piece is cooled down to permanently freeze its final form. Made in brazil by é Pedra Ateliê®
