Mid-Century Bentwood Bar Stool in Ivory Lacquer with Ivory Vinyl Seat
About the Item
These mid-century barstools belonged to a wealthy family that entertained often. They were placed at the enormous bar at the lower level of their time capsule home. They were refinished and reupholstered at some point. The wood was lacquered (painted) and off-white and the seats were reupholstered in an off-white vinyl. There is some nailhead trim. They are lovely and solid.
There are a few scuffs to the painted finish on a few chairs but overall they are in good condition. Original maker is unknown. Labels at the bottom of a few seat cushions feature the name of the Chicago area shop that reupholstered them (one with a very good reputation).
