A Sculptural Modern Stool / Sidetable with elegant construction lines, and beautiful grainlines of the Solid Danish Oak.
Similar to details seen in traditional Japanese joinery woodwork and Mid Century Danish architecture and furniture.
This stool is a Contemporary example of Modern Scandinavian soft and minimal Brutalist Design.
A fine balance of lines, shadows and angles makes this Stool in to a new sculpture from every angle it is seen.
About the designer:
Bjarke Frederiksen is a Danish Designer/Cabinetmaker.
Having finished the traditional Danish Cabinetmakers apprenticeship with honers and graduated as a designer from the renowned Royal Danish Academy.
Bjarke Frederiksens work starts at the desk and is finished at the workbench of his Copenhagen studio.
His intuitive understanding of wood, after years spent in the workshop, is felt in every line and detail of his design.
Bjarke Frederiksen quickly gained a loyal following after the launch of his iconic “Nordic Nomad Chair” (now “Nomad”).
A conceptual work that also caught the attention of Lidewij Edelkoort and was selected for her MoBA exhibition.
