Pair of English 1880s Giltwood Barley Twist Stools with New Upholstery

About the Item

A pair of English giltwood barley twist stools from the late 19th century, with new upholstery. Created in England during the last quarter of the 19th century, each of this pair of stools features a square top newly reupholstered with a neutral toned fabric secured with a brass nailhead trim. It is the base however, that attracts our attention with its gilded barley twist structure, accented with rosettes and strengthened with an H-Form cross stretcher of similar style. With its elegant lines and golden tones, this pair of English barley twist stools circa 1880 will be an excellent addition to any living room or bedroom.
