Detailed Description:
A visually striking and architecturally innovative pair of folding stools or side tables by the award-winning Vancouver-based design firm molo, founded by Stephanie Forsythe and Todd MacAllen. These pieces exemplify molo’s philosophy of flexible, tactile, and sustainable space-making solutions.
Constructed from durable kraft paper formed into a sculptural accordion-style honeycomb structure, each stool can expand from a slim folded form into a full cylindrical seat or table. Integrated magnetic closures allow them to lock open, and a removable gray felt cushion provides comfortable seating or a surface for use as a side table.
These pieces are part of molo’s soft collection, celebrated for merging architecture, furniture, and product design in a minimalist and environmentally conscious manner. Their expandable format makes them ideal for compact living, mobile spaces, or flexible interior design schemes.
The bottom is marked “molo”, with an interior label confirming design and patent registration. Each stool folds flat for storage and transport.

Condition:
Good overall condition. Minor wear consistent with light use; subtle impressions and pulls to the felt seat pads. No rips or losses to the paper forms. Some evidence of water staining to areas at the base of both stools. Functionally sound, magnet closures working well.
