Pierre Chareau “SN1” Mahogany Stool

About the Item

This Pierre Chareau “SN1” mahogany stool is of exceptional design created during the Art Deco period. Known famously for designing the Maison de Verre which was also referred to as the glass house in France, Chareau’s aesthetic bridged the gap between the studied geometry of Art Deco and the functionalism of International Style modernism. This still is a prime example of his modern approach to design at the time.
