About the Item

Small antique Chinese Qing Dynasty period elm wood stool from the 19th century with carved scrolling spandrels, woven rattan top and horse hoof feet, that could be used as a drinks table as well. Created in China during the Qing Dynasty period in the 19th century, this elm wood stool features a square shaped top with woven rattan inset, sitting above a waisted apron. The stool is raised on four straight legs with horse hoof extremities, adorned with carved scrolling spandrels connected to one another through side stretchers. This décor is echoed on all sides, the piece will therefore be able to float in a room and be seen from all angles. Boasting a brown patina, this antique Chinese Qing Dynasty period elm wood stool from the 19th century will make for a charming addition to any home, used as it was intended or as a drinks table, perhaps placed next to a bergère chair or wingback chair.
