About the Item

At Casa Ocampo conscious of Mexico's cultural wealth and the vulnerable state of the artisans, we look to enhance and market the ethnical commerce of contemporary design, produced under a collaborative scheme to rescue ancestral practices, value hand-mande work, generate direct revenue, empower and help improve the quality of life of every group we collaborate with. The artisan women of Hidalgo in the Teoehuan region make this piece of art. It is an armchair full-embroidered backing. Hand-painted thread and embroidered with the houndstooth technique, from the Otomí-Tepehua region.
