Set of 4 Model OD-61 Bar Stools by Erik Buch for O.D. Mobler, Denmark, c. 1960's

About the Item

Introducing a limited set of four Model OD-61 counter-height barstools designed by the influential Erik Buch for the lauded Odense Møbelfabrik. With legs and frames constructed from solid slabs of Burmese teak, replete with outstanding old-growth woodgrains, and seats redone by the previous owner this timeless design is ideal for collectors and designers alike. Erik Buck (1923-1982) had over 30 commercially successful production designs over his career but none so famous as his Model 61 Bar stool designed in 1961 and formerly manufactured by Oddense Maskinsnedkeri A/S. His Model 49 dining chairs designed in 1949 saw equally impressive popularity and could be found in homes around the world and both models are still in production today by Danish cabinet makers. Iconic and instantly recognizable these exquisite stools are the epitome of Danish Modern Design and can blend seamlessly against a myriad of design backdrops from Mid-Century Modern to Minimalism to Contemporary and everything in between. Make them yours today before they're truly gone forever. ---Dimensions--- Width: 14 in / 35.56 cm Depth: 16 in / 40.64 cm Height: 28 in / 71.12 cm Seat Height: 25.5 in / 64.77 cm This limited set of OD-61 counter height bar stools by Erik Buch feature newly upholstered seats by the previous owner however, the solid teak frames and legs are in 100% original, vintage condition showing some nicks, scratches and light gouges (the worst of which can be seen in the detail photos provided). Set of 6 Model 77 by Niels O. Møller for JL Møllers Møbelfabrik, Denmark, 1960's
By Niels Otto Møller
Located in Deland, FL
Enhance your dining space with this exquisite set of six chairs designed by Niels O. Møller for J.L. Møllers Møbelfabrik, featuring the iconic and rare Model 77 dining chair. Crafted from solid old growth teak wood, these chairs exemplify the timeless elegance and superior craftsmanship of Danish Modern design. The seats have been re-corded by the previous owner using a more open, unlaced weaving technique, adding a unique and contemporary touch to the classic design. If this style of cording does not suit your taste, please message us prior to checkout to discuss your re-cording or reupholstery options. This set of chairs is a perfect blend of form and function, making it a sophisticated addition to any dining area. Niels Otto Moller was a Danish furniture designer, known for his modern and functional designs. He studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen and went on to work for various furniture manufacturers, including J.L. Møllers Møbelfabrik, where he designed the Model 80 Dining Chairs. J.L. Møllers Møbelfabrik was a Danish furniture manufacturer, founded in 1944 by Jorgen Langkilde Moller. The company was known for producing high-quality furniture in the Danish Modern style, using materials such as teak and oak. The company was in operation until the late 1970s. We currently only have these six Model 77 chairs in stock and when they sell they're gone forever. Make them yours today! ---Dimensions--- Width: 19.5 in / 49.53 cm Depth: 19.5 in / 49.53 cm Height: 30 in / 76.2 cm Seat Height: 18 in / 45.72 cm This set of ultra-rare model 77 Møller dining chairs has undergone some minor repairs over the years. The most involved repair includes dowls and can be seen in the photos provided. There are also scratches, nicks and other smaller crack repairs present (all of which can be seen clearly in the detail photos provided). With that said the solid teak frames and legs are in overall very good shape and the woodgrains are absolutely mesmerizing in natural light. As purists, we strive to keep our pieces in as original condition as possible. However we offer a full-range of expert restoration services from carpentry to upholstery to fabrication.
