About the Item
Introducing a limited set of four Model OD-61 counter-height barstools designed by the influential Erik Buch for the lauded Odense Møbelfabrik. With legs and frames constructed from solid slabs of Burmese teak, replete with outstanding old-growth woodgrains, and seats redone by the previous owner this timeless design is ideal for collectors and designers alike.
Erik Buck (1923-1982) had over 30 commercially successful production designs over his career but none so famous as his Model 61 Bar stool designed in 1961 and formerly manufactured by Oddense Maskinsnedkeri A/S. His Model 49 dining chairs designed in 1949 saw equally impressive popularity and could be found in homes around the world and both models are still in production today by Danish cabinet makers.
Iconic and instantly recognizable these exquisite stools are the epitome of Danish Modern Design and can blend seamlessly against a myriad of design backdrops from Mid-Century Modern to Minimalism to Contemporary and everything in between. Make them yours today before they're truly gone forever.
