Solid Piano Stool, Early 20th Century, Restaured
About the Item
Very solid piano stool/swivel stool with seat made of hand-woven Viennese cane. The piano stool is made of beech wood and has three curved feet that are connected to the central column. The stool can be adjusted in height from 46 cm to approx. 58 cm. A locking mechanism is used for this purpose, which is operated via a lever under the seat. inscription: "D.R.Patent-Excelsior".
The weave of the seat was renewed in a traditional, hand-woven way by a specialist workshop. The shellac surfaces were also renewed. The stool is again in very good, functional condition with slight signs of aging.
