About the Item
High-quality, very comfortable piano stool/swivel stool made of solid walnut with a padded seat covered in genuine leather. The piano stool has three turned legs and a larger central column that houses the spindle. The columns are held together at the top by a round wooden plate and at the bottom by a triangular, slightly inward-curved plate. The stool is artfully and solidly crafted, making it quite heavy (7600 g). It can be adjusted in height from approximately 48 cm to about 63 cm. The spindle operates smoothly with little play. The seat has been reupholstered with durable, thick leather and also newly padded. The stool was probably manufactured in the first half of the 20th century and originally had a seat made of Viennese cane. The stool is in very good, functional condition with minor signs of use on the surfaces.
