Vintage Country French Carved Walnut Ladder Back Counter Stools, Set of 3
About the Item
Dress a kitchen or bar counter with this elegant set of vintage stools. Hand carved from walnut wood in Normandy France circa 1980, each Provincial chair stands on front curved legs decorated with a double scalloped bottom stretcher embellished with hand carved floral and leaf motifs. The tall chair has a two-ladder back with scalloped edges, and decorated foliage in high relief. The comfortable wide and deep seat has a hand woven rush and further dressed with a loose custom in Scalamandre upholstery fabric and secured with tasseled cords. The large three Louis XV style counter stools are in excellent condition commensurate commensurate with age and use and adorn a rich walnut patina. The seat height is 25" from the floor; a perfect height for any 36 to 38" kitchen counter.
