Mid-Century Modern Overman Sweden Pod Swivel Lounge Chair Armchair, a pair
About the Item
This elegant pair of swivel pod lounge chairs by Overman, Sweden, was designed by Carl Eric Klote for the company. The lovely egg shape has a five-star pedestal black metal base. Overman designs are noteworthy for the innovative use of expandable polystyrene foam as the foundation of the seat body. These armchairs are lightweight and durable. The lounge chairs were recently upholstered in a lovely, typical Mid-Century design suede fabric with cognac, beige, ivory, and avocado green colors. The armchairs are comfortable and cozy thanks to the curved wrapping shape. They also have a cute petite scale.
The lounge chairs are in good condition, with an oxidation on the underside of the metal base. Check the close-up. A tiny blue mark is visible on one armchair, and a bump on the same armchair at the back of the seat. Check the close-up with a red arrow. But these do not significantly affect the overall appearance.
Measurements: 31.50 in wide (80 cm) x 26 in deep (66 cm) x 29.50 in high (75 cm).
The seat cushion is 16.50 in high (42 cm).
