Early NE 19th c. Original Painted Surface Child's Windsor Chair

About the Item

This is an exceptional and rare example of a child's Thumb Back Windsor Chair featuring all original paint, hand turned spindles and a scalloped back. The piece shows its age by the red washed undercoat and black overcoat. In addition to its inherent value and collectibility, it is simply the paragon of charm. The construction is of hand-made nails and wood pegs. This Americana at its absolute best!!!!
