This piece exemplifies the regional tradition of English country craftsmanship, constructed predominantly from richly toned yew wood with a beautifully figured elm seat, showcasing swirling grain patterns and deep natural character. The hoop back features a finely pierced central splat flanked by slender stick spindles, with curved arms supported by turned baluster arm supports.
