About the Item

This is a particularly rare c.1800 country low back Windsor chair. This design is one I have always loved but they don't come up very often. A genuine Windsor chair that was originally designed with a low back. This model looks to be made from Ash & Elm and the colour is incredible. The originality is evident and the whole chair has a tactile feel. The low back detail as you can see is the way the chair has been designed as arms and back are all one piece of timber beautifully shaped. A classic piece of furniture that will work in a huge number of interiors. Height 72cm Width 52cm Depth 54cm Depth of seat 40cm Height of seat 44cm
