About the Item

Product Description Title: Danish Deluxe was founded in Melbourne in the 1950s and is responsible for designing and manufacturing high-end Danish styled furniture with an Australian twist A beautiful set two matching high back armchairs (price is for the pair) that has been fully restored, with no time or expense spent having it look as new as possible. Full restoration includes all loose joints glue, clamped and secured, genuine soft Italian leather (like the original design from 60s), wood/legs/frame sanded several times and finished with several layers of oil wax for that lovely blackwood and teak look. The foam is also new with a med-firm seat currently upholstered in pink/fuchsia wool from Kvadrat however chose your own fabric and colour! Danish Deluxe is getting rarer by the day get yourself a piece of Australian history. This furniture would be an excellent addition to any Collector's living area. Overall Condition: 9/10 Cosmetic Condition: 9/10 - Frame/wood/legs: 9/10 has been restored fully with several full sands and oil wax for finishing. Suspect joints have been glued and clamped for extra stability and strength. We suspect the timber on the legs/frames is Tasmanian Blackwood - Fabric & upholstery: 10/10: mould has been upholstered in new black Italia soft leather by Italia Cuoi. The seat is new fabric is a lovely Kvadrat Divina red with black spots Functional Condition: 9/10 Excellent, functionally no wobbles or warping in the wood, does not rock, no structural damage evident, sturdy as she can get. The comfort/sitting is medium -> when you sit the cushions/foam/seat is med-high density.
