About the Item
A pair of French wingback chairs from the early 20th century, with Louis XIII style os de mouton bases and red and white geometric upholstery. Created in France during the first quarter of the 20th century, each of this pair of armchairs features a wingback offering great privacy to the sitter and will make a statement in any room. Upholstered with a handsome red and white geometric fabric secured with a nailhead trim, the chairs are each raised on a Louis XIII style os de mouton base (translating as mutton legs in English) made of scrolling legs connected to one another through an H-Form stretcher of similar style as well as a front stretcher. The feet are elongated in the back. With their elegant lines and red and white upholstery, this pair of French wingback chairs with Louis XIII style os de moutons bases circa 1920 will bring a stylish presence and a subtle pop of color to any home, placed in a living room, large bedroom or foyer!
