Large Glazed English Pharmacy Cabinet
About the Item
A huge antique English pharmacy display cabinet.
A superb example of great scale & of the highest quality, the two part cabinet with twin doors top & bottom, made from the highest quality timbers & both with shelved interiors. The doors all retain their original 'wavy' floated glass & all the handles are the twin, cast brass originals.
A truly wonderful cabinet in unusually good condition, the likes of which are becoming increasingly difficult to find.
Early 20th century
Wear commensurate with age, excellent overall, among the best I've seen.
Shelves are all removable and height adjustable. The bottom part of the right hand side has a small old repair & the inner shelf retaining timbers have probably been replaced at some point. Splits into two for transport & installation, top section is secured from the inside of the lower cabinet via two brass screws & will preferably also need to be secured to the wall at the top for safety.
