A Pennsylvania pine painted two drawer dowry or blanket chest with a wonderful surface. The chest with strap hinges, an interior till with two small drawers, accented with circular and arched hand painted decoration, all supported on four carved bracket feet. Dates to the 18th century in good overall condition, with great patina, paint losses, hardware and edge losses, old foot repairs, and overall surface wear commensurate with age and use.
