Early Antique Upholstered Bench Chest
About the Item
A wonderful pair of upholstered bench or chest we purchased from a diverse Palm Springs estate. The estate featured a lifetime collection of important artists' works mixed in with antiques and modern furnishings. This chest was in the master bedroom with a John Hutton Donghia bed and sofa. The chest is original and has not been touched. I believe it is at least 19th century, although the upholstery was done to match the bedroom in the 1980s-1990s. Losses throughout, some nicks to the bun feet, and some staining and fading to the upholstery, please see the detailed photos.
