A dated, signed, inscribed 1840 incredibly detailed original painted dowry chest or trunk with original lock and key. This large and impressive chest even bears the original metal engraved presentation given to the groom. Bearing the kings crest in a floral and leaf with vine design painted finish this spectacular chest is certain to spark conversation in any room or at the foot of any bed in the home.
