A Chinese Qing Dynasty period red lacquered trunk from the 19th century, with round metal hardware. Created in China during the 19th century, this red lacquered trunk features a rectangular lid opening thanks to a traditional brass medallion lock, to reveal a dark hued wooden interior. The façade, flanked with linear handles on ornate backplates, is resting on a thin plinth. Boasting a red patina, this Chinese lacquered wooden trunk will make for a great decorative addition to any bedroom or living room, particularly used as a blanket chest, or coffee table!
