Walnut and Iron Chest, 17th Century

About the Item

Rectangular chest with base and lid with moldings and iron fittings and corners in forge metal on a red cloth background made with stylized and simplified vegetal and architectural elements. Lock with key in front. The characteristic prototype of these pieces is followed in the Spanish examples for the chests, which would have a civil or religious use, being used to store clothes, dishes, etc. Size: 75 x 190 x 80 cms.
