1960s Modular MCM Walnut Wall Unit with Drop Down Desk Bookshelves- 5 Pieces
About the Item
This very unique modular 5 Piece Mid Century wall unit set has it ALL, and leaves plenty of room for multiple configuration possibilities! Creatively hold and display all of your vinyl, stereo system, books, nicknacks, magazines etc etc etc.
Each of the 5 pieces measure:
36" Width
30" Height
18" Depth
3 bottom pieces:
The three freestanding pieces feature dovetailed drawers and shelves on Florence Knoll style iron legs and stunning book-matched wood grain in walnut throughout. They can be pushed together to form one long piece, or be placed anywhere in a space separately.
2 wall hanging pieces:
The two wall hanging pieces each add their own features-- One features a drop down desk, and the other sliding doors on the cabinet. Both also contain the stunning book-matched wood grain in walnut throughout them. The two wall hanging pieces have brackets installed on the sides ready to be mounted to the wall.
The entire system is adjustable, so you can position them very easily wherever you would like them to stand.

Mid-Century Modern 4 bay shelving system model Royal. This is an original vintage floating bookcase designed in 1948 by Danish architect Poul Cadovius.
Cadovius had the revolutionary idea to design a floating, modular shelving system that would maximize floor space and signify the end of conformity in shelving. The Royal System shelving unit went on to win the gold medal at the Finland Furniture Fair in 1950 and silver medal at the XI Triennale di Milano 1957 and remained a hallmark of Scandinavian modern design throughout the 1950s and 1960s. Versatile and flexible floating bookcase that allows for continuous rearranging to suit individual needs.
