1970s Floating Wall Display Cabinet Unit Wood Glass Bookshelf Bar Midcentury

An impressive West German sideboard with a white powder-coated frame and Brazilian rosewood or Rio Palisander veneered doors and accents, which accommodates a small drinks serving station. This long sideboard sits on a pedestal, with the rosewood doors being flanked by a sculptural border that leads to the white tabletop. The three doors on the left serves as general storage, whilst the small display and the door on the right acts as a drinks unit, housing a red and white fitted bottle storage container. This sideboard still holds its modern appeal, and it would look perfect in either the modern or vintage home...

This muted beige and brass sideboard and display cabinet combo, designed by 70s powerhouse Renato Zevi, is a fine example of the marriage of function and elegance that defined the era. Two low and wide cream veneered wood bases support a four-tiered smoked glass display cabinet, all with brass finishings. Each display base features two doors with brass handles, and inside singular shelves. This display cabinet is most commonly found with a black finish, and as such the pastel cream colour is a real rarity, perfect for either the modern or vintage home. This high quality display cabinet, by architect Fabrizio Smania for Studio Smania Interni from the “Serie Mitzar” line is made of veneered bird’s-eye briar wood, on the late 1970s early 1980s. In a striking golden yellow/lime hue, the tall cabinet houses four glass shelves, and is anchored by a two-door cabinet with generous storage space at the bottom. With Memphis Milano movement references. This is an extremely rare piece as they only did a very small production of these tall cabinets and this finish. The two doors have brass handles, and the glass shelves are fully adjustable - perfect for whatever shaped ornaments or trinkets you may have, big or small.
