About the Item
An incredible 19th century Italian Neoclassical style bookcase with a serpentine shape in original paint. Circa 1860. The carved and shaped crown sits above four arched openings with two, fixed shelves flanked by fluted pilasters adorned with composite capitals. The lower section has raised panel doors and rests on a shaped plinth base.
