19th Century French Louis XIV Carved Painted Bookcase Cabinet with Glass Doors
About the Item
This elegant, antique bookcase was crafted in Paris, France, circa 1870. The traditional display cabinet built of two separate parts, rests on a straight bottom plinth base. The top vitrine with glass panel doors is dressed with three adjustable shelves on both sides of a center divider. The bottom buffet features two carved double doors with arched recessed panels; opening the doors reveals inside shelving for ultimate storage. The tall and narrow cabinet is in excellent condition commensurate with ange and use, and adorns a rich textured patinated painted finish in a grey and white palette. Place the bookcase in a living room or study for the perfect combination of display and storage.
