About the Item
A large and impressive set of antique leather top library steps in the Georgian style. They were made in England, and date from around the 1930’s period.
The quality is fantastic, they are very useful for reaching high shelves, and also make great side tables / decorative items. The frame is finely constructed, and the steps have inset black leather surfaces.
We have had these recently re-polished, the condition is excellent for their age. The wood has a wonderful patina with some minor marks and bumps remaining under the polish here and there, commensurate for age.
The pole that stands above the steps can be unscrewed and lifted out, so this breaks down into a smaller size for ease of transport.
