Beautiful library sculpture, design Cesare Lazzarini, 1956. Unique piece designed for his house. Painted iron structure. Biography Cesare Leonbruno Lazzarini was born in Mantua on January 10 1931. His first artistic experiences are extraordinarily early: the first works date from the years 1947-948 and show from the very beginning the undeniable originality and autonomy currents and schools that characterize the entire his artistic activity. Fifties teaches Art Institute of Mantua, facing national and international art in the limelight thanks to the participation in the Venice Biennale in 1956. In the sixties he graduated in sculpture with Mastroianni Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna, returning then to Mantua, where he taught the disciplines of art history in various schools in the city and province, from junior high to high school, from the experimental schools for special education, and so enrich their artistic experience with different educational experiments. Throughout his life, constantly Lazzarini alongside his work as a sculptor than a draftsman and painter, but also poetry and literature are for him and exercise fields of artistic research. The wide range of techniques that Lazzarini masters and his tireless formal experimentation in fact enable him to explore artistic expressions ranging from crafts goldsmith sacred art, from historical research to the existential and poetic interpretation. He died in his home in Mantua on the night of December 27, 2010. Fifties his works have been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions Italian and foreign received awards and acclaim from audiences and critics. In 1956 participates in the XXVIII Venice Biennale, in '57 at the Triennial of Milan, in '59 deserves the top prize Golden Crucible of Vicenza, in 1960 he exhibited at the International Painting Prize of Albissola Marina, in '61 exhibits the National Award Marzabotto Resistance. In the sixties he worked in Bologna with the Group 63, for publishing Scheiwiller and Geiger. Impossible to list all the events also significant that Lazzarini has invited the seventies: it is enough to recall that in 1981 creates artistic interpretations of the Aeneid, the Eclogues and Georgics under Bimillenario Virgiliano (exhibited and published) and in 1985 he exhibited in Mantova (Palazzo della Ragione) the staff Mantua: A city and its memory.
