Every discerning gentleman’s library should have one. They were the height of elegance and technology in the late Georgian to early Victorian era The one is a very fine, fully restored example, the steps are hidden inside the bottom drawer, the idea being you sit this table near a very large library bookcase and when you need to remove a book from the top shelf, you pull the steps out The table has been fully restored by my French polisher, he has kept all the original charge and patina but refinished it, there will be normal honest age and use related patina marks here and there Dimensions Height:- 77cm Width:- 76.5cm Depth:- 48cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point This item is available for collection from our Pulborough warehouses Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description pertaining to the condition. Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of creasing and wear, we recommend annual waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
