A very good looking and well-made bookcase, it has the look and feel of an 18th century piece however its early to mid 19th century circa 1840. It is made in the Gothic Revival taste, the Astral Glazed doors are arranged in a steeple top fashion which gives them a grand and elegant appeal
The glass panels all appear to be the original water glass which is wonderful as it has the rippled affect we all know and love.
We have cleaned waxed and polished it from top to bottom, the locks have been removed, there will be normal age and use related patina marks here and there.
