Enormous Mid-Century Modern Walnut Bookcase with Drawers and Cupboards

We are delighted to offer for sale this absolutely enormous 5-meter wide solid walnut breakfront bookcase with twin cupboards and bank of drawers Where to begin, this is a monumental piece of furniture, it comes in three main sections, the two outside pieces have twin full sized very deep cupboards which are lockable, the middle section has a bank of drawers to the base, again lockable, there is one original key to operate all locks, the tops of all have multiple bookcases or display shelves, all of which are removable and height adjustable These bookcases are around 60 years old, they have normal patina marks from honest use and age, mostly they are in lovely aesthetic condition throughout. We have deep cleaned hand condition waxed and hand polished them everywhere They split into six pieces for ease of transport and as mentioned all shelves are removable There are original transport labels to the back which read J.G Devant Baden-Baden Mobeltransport Lagerhouse and then the customer's name Dr Waldeck Dimensions: Height:- 190cm total, base section alone 45cm, top 155cm Width:- 490cm total, two outer sections 150cm each, middle section 200cm Depth:- 47cm side units base, 49.5cm middle base section, 35.5cm side units top, 39cm middle top section Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point. This item is available for collection from our Wimbledon warehouses. Condition: Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
