About

This excellent William IV inlaid mahogany bookcase features an Egyptian style shell inlaid cornice and frieze above two double arched glazed doors flanked by pilasters and opening up to adjustable shelved interiors lined on the back with moiré silk. The lower section with two paneled stringed and banded doors flanked by pilasters and opening up to shelved interiors, one including a later drawer with compartments. The bookcase rests on a stringed plinth base.
