About the Item

We offer a rare and valuable floor-to-ceiling modular bookcase produced by FEAL in the 1950s, an authentic example of the best Italian postwar design. This particular version stands out for its colored metal side panels, a less common variant than the more well-known configurations with elements made exclusively of wood or chrome-plated metal. The structure, designed as a self-supporting floor-to-ceiling system, is anchored between the floor and ceiling, ensuring great stability without the need for invasive wall fixings. The vertical painted metal side panels support a system of elegant and solid teak shelves, with turned brass details that embellish the whole. The burnished iron feet, adjustable in height, allow adaptation to different ceiling heights and ensure perfect alignment of the structure. Completely modular, the bookcase allows for free positioning of the shelves, allowing for great customization of the configuration. The aesthetic is typical of the Milanese rationalism of the era: functionality and structural rigour are combined with fine materials and sophisticated details. With impressive dimensions - 290 cm high and 84 cm wide
