About the Item
An exceptional late 19th century Saddle Display Case in Bibliotheque form from a horse farm in the Southwest of France. Soundly constructed from painted wood with original glass. This sensational piece was used to house jockey saddles and other equestrian tack. The interior depth is 13 1/8". Additional shelves may be added if desired.

- Condition:Additions or alterations made to the original: Originally, this piece was constructed inside the stable. When it was time to remove the piece, it would not fit through any doorway. The case piece was expertly cut in half to be able to remove it from the stable. Wear consistent with age and use.
