Giuseppe Rivadossi for Officina Rivadossi, library, walnut, glass, Italy, 1970s This impressive library is designed by Italian Giuseppe Rivadossi in the 1970s. The lower part of this piece is composed of large panels of walnut wood and small and elegant handles on the doors. Under the top there are two drawers situated in the center of the piece. The top of this piece has large shelved cabinets with glass doors. This design offers a very large amount of storage space and would be a great addition to a living room or study. This piece is beautiful in its design and choice of materials, clearly visible in the rich and smooth walnut used to produce this piece. Giuseppe Rivadossi (1935) was born in Monteclana di Nave, Italy, where he still lives and works. At a young age, Rivadossi's path begins with wood carving, with works reflecting on his poetic idea of living. In 1962 Rivadossi took over the carpentry founded in 1920 by his father Clemente, which he transformed into an atelier, or rather a creative workshop. Eventually, Rivadossi and collaborators established 'Officina Rivadossi' in 1976 where he started the manufacture of wooden objects and unique modern furniture. Please note that this piece is in used condition and has signs of age and use, including scratches, small stains, and a chip in the glass. Restoration can be done before shipping by our experienced craftsmen and -women in our own in-house restoration atelier.
