Italian Swivel Bookcase Model "Centro" by Claudio Salocchi for "Sormani"
About the Item
Swivel center bookcase lacquered in white with central metal support.
This is the "CENTRO " model created by designer Claudio Salocchi, poroducted by the Italian company SORMANI between the 1960s and 1970s.
The bookcase has an original white lacquering, its state of preservation is good, there are light signs of wear, such as small stains, given by time and its use. The bookcase has a fully functional swivel mechanism.
The total measurements are 113 x 78 x 78 cm.

Claudio Salocchi
Born in Milan 1934, graduated in Architecture at the Milan Politecnico University. He has been Vice-President of ADI (Associazione per il Disegno Industriale), and has taught at the State Professional Institute of Furniture and Furnishings in Lissone and the School of Architecture of Milan Polytechnic. On an international level, Salocchi’s work covers the fields of architecture, interior and industrial design. A great deal of his works and projects were chosen and exhibited through selections or invitations at the most important exhibitions, events or museums, worldwide.
