About the Item

This handsome and massive wall unit was designed & built in our workshop 15 years ago using antique doors and other elements, along with pine that was re-purposed from old Dutch Gouda cheese boards. The antique center doors are retractable, and the shelves on the side units adjustable. It also features 4 exterior drawers and two cabinets below the bookcases on the flanking units. Our intention is to restructure this unit by making it less deep so that it can be used in place of a build-in. Great in a family room for a TV/ bookcase unit, or as a closet in a hallway or bedroom. Solid or glass doors could be added to the bookcases, if needed. Also, unit could be stained darker or painted, or left as is. Measures: 171" (14'3")` long x 114" (9'6") high Side units: 48" wide Depth to be determined. We custom built this piece 12 -15 years ago for clients. The unit is now in our warehouse, assembled but I don't have any room to stand back from it . However, I can taken detail shots, which have been include. The center section comes apart, currently doors are on pocket slides, the top comes off, then you have the bottom, sides and the back. The center section was originally built to house a large rear projection TV so it is deep and the back needs to be rebuilt because of the cut outs for TV and Stereo equipment. The bookcases on the sides are built so that the shelving unit on top is separate from the cabinet unit on the bottom. The shelves are adjustable. The side units are 46" wide x 9' 6" high. The bottom cabinet is about 32" - 34" high, making the top shelving units the largest self contained sections. They measure about 46" x 80". The center section has at least 1 shelf. Shelving (4) adjustable shelves in each upper bookcase unit (1) fixed shelf in lower cabinet units (1) massive shelf in center unit 4 drawers (two in each flanking cabinet unit) The field dimensions are as follows: The bottom cabinets with bookcases are 48" wide x 27 1/2" deep x 37" high (1 fixed shelf in each unit) The bookcase tops are 48" wide x 18" deep x 77" high (largest single unit) (4 adjustable shelves in each unit) The center section is 40" deep, it does break down and has 1 large shelf Center unit has antique doors that pocket in. There are pocket walls that hide the doors when they are open, this is not shown in the photograph.
